Tradebank representatives were presented with the 2005 Consumers' Choice Award for Best in category of Barter Exchanges. The gala was held at the Marriott Marquis on July 16, 2005 and was attended by hundreds of business owners and local celebrities. The Consumers' Choice Award (CCA) was conceived in Montreal, Canada approximately 20 years ago and is now in every major city in Canada. Jeffrey Chernoff brought the CCA to the United States in 1998. Since then, the Consumers' Choice Award has developed throughout the United States, including Atlanta, Georgia; Columbus, Ohio; and soon Dallas, Texas. Chernoff sees the award as "a way to identify and promote business excellence". The promotional program is designed to help award recipients and leverage their recognition in the market place. Using an independent polling company, Harris Interactive, the leading company in research and surveying, consumers are surveyed in both residential and business markets. Randomly selected respondents are asked to name their first choice in 100 categories based on service, quality and professionalism. The company with the greatest number of votes wins in its category. "The night was amazing" says Faythe Willis, CTB for the Corporate Tradebank offices based in Atlanta. Decked out in her sparkling black evening suit, Willis said the evening was enjoyed by all Tradebank members who attended. Greg Bell, also a broker for Tradebank in Atlanta, concurred. "I was really impressed by how classy the event was, and how many esteemed local companies attended. It was an honor to know that out of the hundreds of people who attended; our company was chosen for an award." John Davis, CEO of Tradebank International, was also thrilled at the nomination. "Our company works hard to exceed client expectations every chance we get. Our brokers give unparalleled attention to our clients, our corporate offices supply managing and accounting for the clients, and regional owners know that success only comes from great service. But honestly, even as Tradebank continues to grow, there's a family feeling here. We all care deeply about what we do that's how we stay successful and that's exactly why I feel we deserved this award again." In the end, it's flattering to know the votes come directly from the consumers. There's no other way to guarantee that a business is doing well other than to check in with its consumers! This article has been read 1140 times .
