Largest Signs Now Franchise Expands With Company Acquisition

Rockford, Illinois - 18 January, 2006 -

Not only does businessman Tim Anderson owner of the Signs Now franchise in Rockford have the largest franchise in the Signs Now network at 17,000 square feet, he has also recently acquired an electrical sign company that will expand his service to include the fabrication, installation and service of electrical signs. Anderson recently purchased Beloit Sign from former owner, Denny Coan. Coan had been looking to retire, but wanted to find the right match for his business. “After many years of operation in Beloit, I wanted to leave the business in the right hands to continue our service in the local area and surrounding communities,” remarked Coan. “After doing business with Tim for some time, I felt his Signs Now franchise was a good fit.” Coan-a 45-year veteran of the business will be staying on as a consultant along with two Beloit employees that bring more than 20 years of experience to the table. “We are extremely fortunate to have such talented individuals from Beloit Sign Co. joining our team to continue the same quality work and excellent customer service offered by both businesses,” remarked Anderson. Anderson will also add an 80-foot crane to his equipment base as a result of the merger. Signs Now is the only sign business in Rockford to manufacture full-service large format graphics as well as having an in-house complete electrical sign business “We have completely differentiated ourselves from the competition in Rockford,” remarked Anderson. “We now offer ‘one stop shopping’ for all of our clients’ needs and can custom manufacture anything with our signature service and quality.” Anderson has owned the Rockford Signs Now since 1991. Prior to Signs Now, Anderson was a plant manager for a Rockford area corporation and wanted to leave the corporate world behind to own his own company. After reading about Signs Now franchise in a magazine, he spent his retirement savings to buy the business. “After I went through the Signs Now training and began my first day of ownership, I knew I could operate the business and make it successful,” explained Anderson. Tim has also kept up with expanding digital technology throughout the years and has the newest, state of the art equipment available in-house to provide diverse services to his clients. The Signs Now service base includes multiple solutions and digital imaging for outdoor and indoor signage, exhibit and vehicle graphics, magnetic signs, banners, window graphics, ADA signage, dimensional letters, directional systems, electrical backlit signs, flush mounted and projecting signs and digital marquees. Signs Now will service the entire areas of southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois. Beloit Sign will continue to operate based in the Signs Now store in Rockford. Tim Anderson also owns and operates the Signs Now franchise located in Brookfield, Wisconsin. In 2005, the Brookfield Signs Now generated a 43 percent sales increase compared to the previous year.
