On Wednesday, August 2 it will seem like the Aloha spirit of Hawaii has come to Western Pennsylvania. To celebrate its grand opening, Rita's Ices, Cones, Shakes and Other Cool Stuff in Sewickley will hold a Hawaiian festival from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The store will be decorated in a Hawaiian theme with the staff dressed in traditional Aloha shirts and guests receiving leis. There will be a sampling of Rita's newest Italian Ice flavor, Island Fusion. The first 50 people who come to come to the store beginning at 3:30 p.m. will receive a free Rita's t-shirt. Visitors to this unique Hawaiian festival will also have the opportunity to participate in a raffle for a Rita's Beach Blanket. There will also be a face painter and artist painting Rita's wash away tattoos to entertain the kids. Rita's Italian Ices are made daily and available in more than 30 different flavors.
