Readers of The Calgary Herald recently voted Ricky's All Day Grill their favorite Family Restaurant in the paper's Annual Reader Choice Awards. Celebrating the10th anniversary of the Reader's Choice Awards, the Calgary Herald acknowledges the best of the city, as chosen by its loyal subscribers and readers. Ricky's All Day Grill is thrilled with the recognition, for not only its 14 Owners in Southern Alberta, but for all 50 of its Family Style Restaurants across Western Canada. "This is great for our brand", says Vice President Brenda Williams, "our owners are being recognized for their commitment, and we are proud to be able to say that we've been voted the favourite restaurant choice for families?" Ricky's has been actively growing their restaurant brand through franchising opening 5 restaurants in the last 8 months; most recently in the community of Okotoks, just south of the city of Calgary. Other notable "new additions" include the first Ricky's in Whitehorse, the Yukon which opened this past summer. The Brand also launched a whole new menu package; the Breakfast and Lunch menu features "Famous Big Breakfasts", a new lineup of Asian/Fusion inspired dishes like the Ginger Beef Nitro Noodle Bowl and favourite classics like the Real Turkey Clubhouse Sandwiches and pure Ground Chuck Hamburgers. For Dinner, the new menu serves up Fired Grilled Steaks, Pasta, and Appetizers and features Memphis Bones; Mouth-watering Chicken and Ribs. Earlier this year, Ricky's Restaurants raised $10,000 through an in-store promotion for Sunshine Dreams For Kids; a Canadian Charity that grants dreams for kids 13-19 who are challenged by servere disabilities of terminal illnesses.
