RE/MAX Communications Staff Captures Seven MarCom Awards

Greenwood Village, Co - 10 November, 2005 -

One platinum, four golds and two honorable mentions those are the honors recently garnered in the MarCom Creative Awards 2005 by seven members of the communications staff at RE/MAX International. The MarCom Creative Awards is an international awards competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication practitioners. Entries are judged by industry professionals who look for companies and individuals whose talent exceeds a high standard of excellence and whose work serves as a benchmark for the industry. Receiving the platinum award for designing a corporate identity and information packet for RE/MAX Relocation, Inc. was Kevin Bair, RE/MAX computer graphics designer. A gold award was earned by Tracy Baker, computer graphics designer and Ed Dosien, corporate photographer for a color print ad honoring the women of RE/MAX and calling attention to the network’s involvement with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Survivor program. Also capturing gold was Brenda Scott, computer graphics designer for her creation of a 24 page full color overview of the organization’s combined advertising programs entitled “RE/MAX Burning Bright - Adventures in Advertising.” Gold also went to Michael Westfield, computer graphics designer for her work in creating an agent marketing kit for RE/MAX Renowned Properties. Computer graphics designer, Ryan Young received a gold award for his work on “Adventures in Advertising.” Honorable mention recognition was given to Tracy Baker for her design of a poster depicting flags from all countries in which RE/MAX has operations, and to Terri Sidwell, computer graphics designer for designed pieces for the Silver Moon Birthday Bash at The Wildlife Experience museum. There were 4,613 entries from throughout the United States and several foreign countries in the MarCom Creative Awards 2005 competition. “The RE/MAX communications department coordinates design, printing and distribution of approximately 2,000 pieces each year,” said Steve Woolley, RE/MAX vice president. “The entire staff is amazing. They are not only extremely creative, but have a real sense of what the final product in every job needs to be in order to be effective and efficient. We’re very proud of these people. They truly deserve these awards.”
