Still wondering whether or not your gifts arrived at their intended destinations during last years holiday season? If you ship packages from San Diego to family and friends in faraway places, you want to be assured that your parcels arrive intact and on time, says Kim Moore, marketing manager at PostalAnnex+. "With all the expense and effort that goes into holiday shopping, you want to be certain your gifts get to their recipients in one piece," says Moore. Moore offers a few key packing and shipping tips to remember during the holidays: Pack It Right Proper packaging mterials, such as bubble wrap, peanuts, sturdy boxes and packing tape, are essential. Fragile items, such as computers, glassware and picture frames, may require more protection and cushioning than others. "Always prepare your package for a bumpy ride," says Moore. "You should be able to drop your package from waist height and know with confidence that its contents wont break." Always Use a Traceable Means of Shipping Make sure to use a shipper that can track your shipment and provide you with confirmation of its delivery. "Use a reliable carrier, such as UPS or FedEx, who offers package tracing as well as automatic insurance of up to $100 for your shipped package," says Moore. Dont Wait Until the Last Minute Save money and worries by shipping your packages as early as possible. "Know the shipping deadlines of the carrier you intend to use to be sure your package will arrive before the holiday and not a week after," says Moore. This article has been read 766 times .
