Mosquitonix Announces New Ceo, Rolls Out Enhanced Business Model

Dallas, Texas - 9 August, 2005 -

MosquitoNix, a fast-growing national franchise that provides effective, botanical solutions for killing and repelling mosquitos, has announced the recent additions of Dan O’Neal as the company’s new CEO and Steve Wilson as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, energizing the franchise concept with a fresh vision and new ideas. As public health concerns about West Nile Virus continue to grow, MosquitoNix has developed additional service options to make its solutions more accessible to a wide range of socioeconomic populations. “We want to be able to provide mosquito control to a wide range of socioeconomic groups through a structured growth plan,” said O’Neal, noting that the typical MosquitoNix system costs $3,500 on average. “By opening corporate service centers in large metropolitan areas and franchises in the surrounding territories, we will be able to provide consumers of all income levels mosquito and pest control services. MosquitoNix is also expanding its services to consumers by offering a traditional installation of automated insect misting systems and monthly indoor/outdoor maintenance plans.” With over 20 years of extensive experience in rapid growth utilizing both employee and independent sales networks, O’Neal has set his sights on implementing a new corporate vision for MosquitoNix by opening six to eight corporate centers and fifteen to twenty franchise locations in major metropolitan markets by the end of the year. Wilson, whose background includes 19 years in consumer products, will develop a strategy and materials to drive customer sales and corporate growth. O’Neal replaces Steve Jenkins, MosquitoNix co-founder, who will remain involved with the company on an advisory level. With four corporate and five franchise locations in four states, MosquitoNix offers home and business owners a test-proven, fully automated misting system that utilizes a botanical insecticide, Pyrethrum, to eliminate pests. Each system is equipped with a remote control that allows the user to mist between regularly times intervals and battery back-up system that ensures the system remains on schedule in the event of a power outage. To fulfill O’Neal’s mission of making its solutions available to all, MosquitoNix is testing the new monthly indoor/outdoor treatment option at corporate locations. This monthly service allows home and/or business owners the option of receiving effective pest control indoor and out, minus the expense of purchasing installed misting systems. “Home and business owners are now able to reclaim their backyards and outdoor living spaces from mosquitos and other biting insects,” O’Neal said. “Our misting systems make it easier and more enjoyable for people to step into their backyards, or have dinner at outdoor restaurants without fear of being eaten alive.” The MosquitoNix system is designed for residential, commercial and business settings, allowing consumers to choose a customized system to meet their specific needs. O’Neal expects MosquitoNix to have 30 corporate locations and 120 franchise locations in operation by the end of 2009. About MosquitoNix The MosquitoNix concept, conceived in 2003, focuses on the use of Pyrethrum, a natural insecticide derived from dried chrysanthemum flowers that is frequently used on fruit and dairy farms to control insect infestation. Today, under the leadership of CEO Dan O’Neal, MosquitoNix has five franchise locations and four corporate centers, with plans to open an additional 120 franchises and 30 corporate MosquitoNix locations by 2009.
