A new child care center is open in Brier Creek. Kiddie Academy Child Care Learning Center opened in August at 9920 Sellona Street. The new Center is owned by franchisees Cathy Cummings and Amy Johnson and is designed to accommodate 199 children. The new location is the first Kiddie Academy Center operating in North Carolina. The Kiddie Academy Center of Brier Creek is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The Center features a 20,000 square foot playground with three age appropriate sections, internet cameras for parental observation, and a kitchen for on-site meal service. The Center features the Kiddie Academy Curriculum, which was specially designed and copyrighted by the Kiddie Academy Curriculum Committee. All lead teachers in the Center are either degreed or certified. The Center services infants, toddlers, and children through age 12. A variety of programs for preschool and school-age children are also available.
