A new child care center is open in Bloomfield. Kiddie Academy Child Care Learning Center opened in August at 40 Tunxis Avenue. The new Center is owned by franchisee Pamela Etta and is designed to accommodate 174 children. The new location is the first Kiddie Academy Center operating in Connecticut. The Kiddie Academy Center of Bloomfield is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The Kiddie Academy Center of Bloomfield has 13 classrooms, a kitchen for on-site meal service, and a playground divided into two age appropriate sections. The Center also features the Kiddie Academy Curriculum, which was specially designed and copyrighted by the Kiddie Academy Curriculum Committee. The Center services infants, toddlers and children through age 12. In addition to the curriculum, the Center also features a variety of half-day programs for preschool and school-age children.
