JumpBunch, a franchisor that provides sports and fitness programs for kids, announced the successful completion of its first annual conference. Held July 11 and 12th in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Monte Carlo hotel, a JumpBunch spokesperson says over 75% of its franchise network was in attendance. Dan Martin, president of IFX, an interactive agency that specializes in the franchise industry, was a key guest speaker, motivating franchisees with his "making technology fun" mantra and unveiling the new "Extranet" that will be available to JumpBunch franchisees by the fall. According to founder, Tom Bunchman, "In addition to the programs we had planned, the interaction between franchisees was fantastic in itself. It was very rewarding to see everyone exchange ideas and approaches by talking to their colleagues from across the U.S." Two major programs that have emerged this year as major JumpBunch profit centers were barely on the radar screen when JumpBunch launched franchise sales in 2002. They include hosting birthday parties and offering before and after care programs for elementary school-age children. Several franchisees have developed these programs significantly already and share their successes and techniques with the full group.
