The Extreme Pita, a Canada-based quick service franchise, is expanding. With one location open in San Diego, the company announced the coming of a second location in Mira Mesa, California. Owned and operated by local entrepreneurs Grant Fussell, Noel Llanes and Doug and Thelma Cabacungan, the new restaurant will be located at 8250-D Mira Mesa Blvd. and open in August. The Mira Mesa site is part of The Extreme Pita's national expansion plan that calls for 180 locations in North America by the end of 2008, eight of those to be located in Southern California. "We're excited to expand The Extreme Pita presence in the U.S., especially in such a health conscious market such as Mira Mesa," said Brett Weiss, Southern California area developer for The Extreme Pita. "We look forward to feeding the local appetite and answering the call for healthful quick serve alternatives."
