The Entrepreneur's Source has recognized Kamiab Ahmadi as Client of the Year. Kamiab was born in Iran 50 years ago. He served in the military for two years and then married his wife, Pari twenty six years ago. Their daughter was born soon after and then a son 6 years later. For many years Kamiab did many different odd jobs in Iran. Kamiab and Pari wanted to leave Iran because of the religious extremism. They also wanted their children to get a decent college education in the United States. Ten years ago when Kamiab was 40 years old, he and his family escaped from Iran. They went to Pakistan for seven months until he was able to get a visa to go to the USA. They then immigrated to Maryland and Kamiab became a plumber. Years later Kamiab and Pari moved to Sacramento to live with their daughter and son-in-law until they could get their own home built. When Kamiab decided to explore Franchising, Tom received his name as a seeker. At the time, Kamiab was unemployed. Many consultants may have prejudged this situation due to the fact that at the time Kamiab was not employed or perhaps didn't fit the mold of what they felt was a "viable seeker" But not Tom. Tom sees possibilities. And this took some work. All of the meetings were monitored by Kamiab's very protective son-in-law. But persistent Tom, saw Kamiab as a gift. Kamiab is a very outgoing and personable person and did a good job of validating. He and Pari eventually went to a discovery day at AIM and the folks at AIM fell in love with them both! Tom hung in there with them until financing could be arranged. Kamiab and his wife have fulfilled the American dream and are now Entrepreneurs! They opened their AIM Mail Center store in March. By the way, this was also Tom's very first placement.
