Computertots/computer Explorers Delivers First-ever Technology Training Programs

Cypress, Texas - 25 February, 2005 -

COMPUTERTOTS/COMPUTER EXPLORERS (CTCE) is breaking new ground by offering unprecedented training for entrepreneurs and teachers in its franchise network. A Special Programs Conference was held on February 18-21 in the Houston area, launching a new catalog of exciting, technology-based classes and covering proven methods of educational marketing by industry experts. “We provide franchise owners and their teachers with tools to challenge children in the critical areas of math and science,” says Deb Evans, CTCE president. “The new training benefits educators, giving them the latest methods to teach children about technology, while showing owners how to better promote their businesses. The more successful they are at marketing their services, the more children they will reach.” COMPUTERTOTS/COMPUTER EXPLORERS is the fastest growing home-based provider of computer technology education for children in the U. S., presenting computer enrichment classes to students, ages three to twelve, at child care centers, schools and other community sites worldwide. Technology programs for children include instruction in the use of equipment such as digital microscopes, cameras and digital video. LEGO , K’NEX and LeapPad products are effective in making difficult concepts easily understood in robotics, engineering and programming classes. Dr. Stephen Goldstein, president and CEO of Educational Marketing Services, Inc., the conference keynote speaker, is a nationally-recognized marketing, communications and fundraising expert who imparted valuable information and insight to assist owners in identifying and studying prospects. Educator K.K. Quah was on hand to promote a unique robotics curriculum, teaching the integration of science, mathematics and technology concepts in the classroom. He promoted and hosted robotics competitions at the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI), the first museum in North America to develop the idea of hands-on, interactive exhibits. The conference follows on the heels of the first-ever Teacher Certification training offered last fall to standardize COMPUTERTOTS curriculum and practices among its franchises. The next teacher certification opportunity is scheduled on April 7-10 at Northwest Forest in Cypress, Texas. “Our focus is to support CTCE teachers and owners to help make them effective and profitable,” says Evans. “Providing on-going opportunities for training is one way to achieve that.”
