A Batteries Plus franchisee has opened his fourth store in Florida and is planning to add two more locations. Hartland-based Batteries Plus is a national chain of battery retail stores that provide equipment to allow customers to assemble, test and rebuild custom battery packs for rechargeable household and commercial products. The newest store is the fourth franchise for owner Branham Garth and the third in Jacksonville. Garth is planning two additional locations in Jacksonville. The Wall Street Journal's guide for entrepreneurs earlier this year named Batteries Plus one of the 25 high-performing franchise brands doing business in the U.S. Batteries Plus now has about 270 stores across the country.
